My children are still quite young, so the amount of time in minutes for attention span and level of patience pretty much corresponds with their age. Long car rides are the most difficult form of travel with small children because of the hours of monotony and sitting still in one place. Since we travel a lot I've come up with a couple of tips to entertain kids in the car. Bring Something New to Keep Kids Occupied in the Car Do bring along the child's favorite blankie and stuffed animal. Don't bring the same coloring books, pencils and matchbox cars he plays with every day. Don't bring crayons. They
If there are car lovers in your family the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY is a must-stop place! Located near I-65 and not far from the Tennessee/Kentucky border this museum will thrill every Corvette lover. Located next to the GM plant that manufacturers these cars the Corvette Museum is a really interesting and bright yellow building with a bright red spire. But, it's what's inside that will make you drool! Have you ever wanted to see the first Corvette? How about a lineup of models stretching from 1953 to the present? This is the place to see them all! My parents are both from Erie, PA so I've been there many times to see family. It wasn't until recently though that I actually got to explore and see some of the places my mom enjoyed visiting as a child. On my last visit to her hometown mom took my sisters, my oldest son and I out for some adventure... I love lighthouses and Erie has three! The only other lighthouse I've seen is the Assateague Lighthouse so this was a
If you've never stayed in a Gaylord hotel you've missed out! I've had the pleasure of visiting the Gaylord Texan a couple of times and I've been so impressed with the service and friendliness of the staff. While I haven't stayed the night, I have friends who have and I'll be joining them, along with 700 other women, in March when I attend the blogging conference, BlissDom. I have however, stayed at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, so I know firsthand how amazing the Gaylords are! The Gaylord Texan is everything you'd expect from a Texas Resort... BIG, authentic western decor and friendly staff.
Every spring I spend a few days at the BlissDom blogging conference and until this year it's been held anually in the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN. Three or 4 days of absolute pampering... The Gaylord hotels are known for their friendly staff, over-the-top customer service, beautiful atriums and meeting places. They're also famous for their ICE! productions and their connection with Dreamworks that brings family fun to these spectactual hotels. Since the Opryland is Gaylord's flagship hotel, it's not only the largest of their establishments, it's also the most impressive. The Gaylord
