Hubby and I have never paid much attention to bed and breakfast options when traveling. We're usually on our way, in and out of a hotel, and we usually have the kids with us. But, this fall we celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary and decided to take a no-kids vacation. This meant we could pick a destination and stay a while. We knew we wanted a cottage on the beach, but arriving on a weekend meant those were pretty booked up. Not wanting to book just any hotel for our special getaway, we opted for a bed and breakfast. We found The Guest House Bed and Breakfast at Gulfport Landing in Gulfport,
We recently had the chance to enjoy the In-Touch Credit Union Plano Balloon Festival! It was our first time, and the first time any of us had seen a hot air balloon launch. It was definitely the highlight of our weekend! Unfortunately, some strong winds from the north threatened to blow all the pretty balloons toward downtown Dallas which would have been really dangerous, so most of them stayed grounded and once the announcement was made that no more would be launching, we left the park. I did not get to enjoy the balloon glow or the fireworks, but I was pretty tired of sitting on the ground and
All my life I have loved hot air balloons. They fascinate me and the bright colors always make me smile. A few years ago I learned that there is an annual balloon festival - The Plano Balloon Festival - less than 2 hours from where we live. I've wanted to go, but something has always come up. This year, thanks to tickets from a client of mine, I get to go! And not just me... My whole family. I am so excited and I can't wait to share the photos with you all!
Say it with me: 2015 Toyota Avalon Hybrid Limited. That's the one you want. That's the car I didn't want to give back. You see, I've had a love-hate relationship with anything smaller than a mid-size SUV since gas prices went up. I bought my first sedan when I was 20 and I've been stuck with one since. They get great gas mileage and for that, I love them. But, they're not what I gravitate towards. The 2015 Toyota Avalon changed that. I'd buy one of these, the Hybrid in the Limited edition mind you, tomorrow, if I were shopping for a sedan. Why?
The 2015 Lexus RX Hybrid introduced me to upscale hybrid crossovers. I've driven a few crossovers, but nothing you'd expect to be high-class, and certainly none that were hybrids. Heck, I've only driven a few hybrid sedans. I was expecting to fall in love with the luxury the Lexus brand is known for, and disappointed with the hybrid engine. The opposite was true. The Lexus RX wasn't as high-end as I'd expected. The hybrid engine left nothing wanting. There was plenty of power and it was actually really fun to drive. This is coming from a girl who loves V8 engines and grew up driving large trucks,
You all know I was excited about the Tech and Travel Roadshow and getting to attend the Dallas Auto Show. Well, it was an amazing two days and I had fun. I drove a Camero. See? Fun. Tech and Travel Roadshow Event If you're a blogger and you love technology and travel, you need to make it out to one of these events hosted by Techcilicious and Traveling Mom.
