My hair and I have a love-hate relationship. It pretty much does what it wants to. Some days, I love the results. Most days my hair ends up in a ponytail because what it does on it's own just isn't acceptable. Truth is, I have baby fine hair. Always have. Unless it's really long, it doesn't stay in twists and braids. Most clips slip right out. Hairspray is always needed. Today I'm going to tell you about one of my new favorite things; something that keeps my hair where it should be, and looks pretty too!
So, rather than share some of my favorite music this Tuesday I'm going to share a memory. And a really old photo of myself. (yipes!) You see, I used to perform a lot locally; churches, festivals, fairs and the like. I enjoyed the local music festivals, especially the String Bean Festival that was held twice a year in my old hometown. While bluegrass isn't my absolute favorite music, I do have a few bands I like. I've heard a lot of the top bands thanks to this old festival and I've met a lot of cool people. Now, onto those old memories... Three friends and I hung out together every year at
Last night on my way home from Dallas where I met with the BlissDom crew I was listening to Chris Mann's new album, Roads. Actually, since no one was in the car with me I was listening to it very loudly and signing and singing along... I now have a sore throat. Ahem. The past couple of days have been really stressful for me. So much to do before vacation, and so little time. I've relied on music to help me calm myself. Chris Mann's new release, Roads, has been my top choice. Since receiving an early download and now a hard copy of the CD, I've been listening to it about twice a day. I've been a fan of Chris for a couple of years, thanks to his annual performances at the BlissDom conferences. When he was on The Voice I followed every performance and purchased most of the songs he sang. I've been so eagerly anticipating Roads and it hasn't disappointed me! Most of
