If you're using WordPress 3.0 or above (please tell me you are!) and are using a compatible theme, you're probably ready to learn about the custom menus for WordPress sites! This easy to use feature is one of my favorites in the WordPress platform. If you haven't yet figured it out, check out this tutorial for WordPress Custom Menus. Getting Started with WordPress Custom Menus Go to Appearance/Menus on the left side of your WordPress dashboard. Near the top select a menu from the dropdown, or click 'create a new menu' to get started. If you create a new menu, name and save it. On the left you'll
Y'all, I might be all geeky and considered a veteran when it comes to this blogging gig, but media kits for blogs? They've always scared me. I don't work with brands a whole lot and I was never taught how to make a media kit. Till the past two weeks when I 'attended' Melissa Culbertson's Media Kit SMASH course. Melissa's course comes with a daily email which links you to members-only content where the daily lesson is hosted. On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday you get lessons with assignments, free downloads and video how-tos. Wednesday is catch up day and chat with the folks taking the course

Then follow along in these videos as I show you how Firebug works! Part 1

This is a dropdown and you can click it to de-select items. I like to hide all the Plugins, QuickPress, Recent Drafts, WordPress Development Blog, and Other WordPress News.
Today I had a couching session with a member of the Guru Blogging Bluprint team. They asked what I want to do, business wise, and I said, help you, my readers. I get sooo many Wordpress questions via email, Skype, and Twitter. I know that people have Wordpress questions and I'd like to create a product that new Wordpress users can buy and download instantly that will really help them get started on the right foot. There are lots of Blogging How-To products out there, but this would be specifically about using Wordpress... not how to blog, or how to pick a good title for your post, or how to master
