Just in time for the BlissDom conference, One2One Network asked a couple of its members to participate in a Spring Clean Your Blog pannel where we talked about the small things you can do right now to improve your blog. From decluttering the visual side to increasing page load speed by using the right plugins and increasing your standing with Google by using smart SEO tactics on your images, everyone who participated had great tips and the viewers came away with some definite can-dos for their blogs. I was very honored to be asked to present on this Hangout and enjoyed (maybe a little too much)
For years now, blogs have pretty much looked the same... you had a header, usually a large one with a photo or logo going all the way across, content, and sidebars. You may have had the choice between left or right aligned sidebars, and maybe widgetized footers, but there weren't many DIY friendly themes for people who wanted to really change things up! Enter frameworks like Genesis and Headway, a plethora of plugins, and the multiple color and layout options many themes are coming with these days and you're able to create something beautiful, unique even, on your own!

Communication isn't always our forte and mind reading? well let's just say the internet doesn't help us decipher voice inflections or facial expressions. Just because we're good at what we do, doesn't mean our tastes match yours, or that we have some magic way of knowing what you want or need. So, how to you communicate with the complicated individual who is your blog designer? > Make an Impression Finding the right web designer and getting good
