No really. I’m a huge fan, and have been since I got to enjoy Harry Connick, Jr‘s music in a small private concert in 2010. I was as impressed with his musicians as I was Harry’s crooning. His new album, That Would Be Me, is such a mix of peppy make-you-dance tunes and fall-in-love-ballads. I can’t seem to listen to it all at once, because it just covers too many moods and I’m a sap who likes to listen to music that fits my current mood. So, one day I listen to all the slow songs, and the next day I dance to the upbeat songs while cleaning the house.
Having often wondered if I was born in the wrong decade, and possibly the wrong part of the south, jazz music makes me feel at home. Artists like Harry Connick Jr, Nora Jones, and Diane Birch are natural fits for my collection. That Would Be Me has seen plenty of play time in the past two weeks.
So which songs are my personal favorites?
Trying to Matter. It’s kind of slow and sad, yet hopeful. Every Time I Fall in Love. Sigh. This one appeals to my sentimental, sappy side. Lately? You Have No Idea. Constant replay.

I participated in the That Would Be Me album review program as a member of One2One Network. I was provided an album to review but all opinions are my own.
