As a publisher that owns several sites, I often find myself needing to insert codes into my posts, some of them over and over again. Take for instance, Adsense. I like to put adds in the middle of my posts (not here, but other sites) and have them centered nicely. But, I don’t want to login to Adsense each time to copy out the script and then center it. So, I’m using the Shortcoder plugin for WordPress.
With Shortcoder I can build my own shortcodes. I simply place the ad script into the settings page and name the shortcode. After that all I have to do is type
and the ad appears in my posts.
This would be fabulous for serial posts and series where you want to insert the same image on several posts, or for blog ambassadors who like to put the company’s logo in each post… It would also work great for other kinds of ads and banners.
