Focused Creativity

I was complaining to my husband last week that since becoming pregnant I’ve felt completely zapped of energy and creativity… like it’s just gone. He replied that it’s still here, it’s just very focused… on the baby.

While I can get excited about this, it’s also a little depressing. I have a lot of cool stuff to write about. I want to share it with you, but when I open my computer I tend to stare at the screen and wish for a nap. The same thing happens when I look at the food in the pantry, laundry waiting to be done and the yard that needs raked. I’ll think, you know what? a nap sounds really good right now.

It’s not depression, it’s just flat out being tired. And, it’s getting kinda old. lol

Want to know how bad it is? I won a fabulous prize package from the Blissfully Domestic network and Intell. I got a new laptop (YAY!!!!) a Sony Google TV, and a fancy Push2TV box from Netgear. It took me a full day to open the first box (the laptop) and four days later I finally got around to opening and setting up the TV and box. For someone who’s totally crazy about electronics, this delay was shocking. lol

So, if you don’t see much from me in the next few weeks, remember, my creativity is currently focused elsewhere… And, I’m probably napping.

Ready for more? I have hand-selected some things I think you might enjoy.

I know exactly how you feel. I found out last month that I was pregnant too and it seems like all I have done is sleep. My blogging and business have taken a hit from all the sleeping too. It’s taking everything I have just to keep up with my client work much less anything else I want to work on personally.

I hope that constant sleeping stage passes both of us by quickly.

I’m not the only one? I’m not glad for you to be experiencing this too,
but I am happy to know I’m not the only one who feels like hormones have
      turned me upside down. :-)

      Congratulations on the pregnancy!

Congratulations Erica! I had not heard the news until now. Did I miss it somehow? LOL I would not worry about the blog and everything else. Just take care of yourself and the baby. And once the baby is born (BTW what is your due date) I would recommend a Vitamin B supplement of some sort. I used to be tired and drained all the time myself. Then about a year ago I started taking a Vitamin B-100 Complex from Costco and I have noticed a huge difference not only in my energy levels but also my moods.
Take care and have a wonderful new year with your family.
