We recently had to privilege of exploring Sioux Falls. Yes it was cold and windy in November, but the stark contrasts of blue sky, red rock formations and gorges and the pounding of water made for a beautiful experience. We spent hours hiking and climbing, walking and taking pictures. We even saw a flock of Canadian geese walking around and got very close to them!
Falls Park in Sioux Falls is open year round, but the visitor’s center and cafe aren’t open every day, so we didn’t get to enjoy those or the 7-story lookout tower. Still, it was time well spent and really cool to get to see and experience the falls as Lewis and Clark did on their expedition!
This time of year, there’s a beautiful Winter Wonderland at the Park every evening. So, even if it’s cold outside, you can enjoy the lights with your family. In warm weather the park and Wells Fargo put on a fancy Laser and Lights Show light show every evening and it’s rumored to be a beautiful sight. I really hope we get a chance to go back and experience that!
